Kathmandu: The heads of state and government, and foreign affairs ministers of the Saarc member countries have reached Dhulikhel, a tourist city just 25 km north east of Kathmandu, for a retreat this morning.
The heads of state and government would join the retreat at Hotel Dwarika’s in Dhulikhel.
The Saarc leaders and other high-level dignitaries would reach Dhulikhel in helicopters managed by the government.
However, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is flying in his own helicopter brought from India.
The retreat in the Saarc have carry important meaning due to chances of informal talks and meetings of the heads of state and government, as the Saarc charter does not allow to discuss the bilateral issues in the formal forum.
