At a meeting with the women journalists at her residence on Friday on the occasion of Nepal Sambat, Tihar and Chhath, Bhandari said that disputed issues should be kept aside and go to the people to promulgate the new constitution by January 22, 2015.
“New constitution should be promulgated before January 22 if consensus was not forged in federalism and form of governance. Country should not be made a hostage of indecision,” Bhandari said.
She also pointed out the need for brining new constitution even by putting the disputed issues on vote adding that constitution would not be drafted only by extending the time.
On the occasion, she pledged her support for making the media policy women-friendly.
