Prachanda and Chief of IDCPC Song Tao meet in Nanjing

Nepal’s former Prime Minister and co-chairman of Communist Party of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Minister of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee Song Tao met in Nanjing on Tuesday. Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal and former Prime Minister Prachanda¬† is in China now to attend the 2018 International Peace Day commemoration.

Song Tao positively evaluated Prachanda’s important contribution to promoting China-Nepal friendship and welcomed Prachanda to China to attend the 2018 International Peace Day commemoration. Song Tao said that the Chinese Communist Party and the Communist Party of Nepal are both ruling parties, and the continuous deepening of friendly cooperation between the two parties will further consolidate the political foundation for the development of Sino-Nepalese relations. The Communist Party of China is willing to work with the Communist Party of Nepal to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, firmly grasp the historical new opportunities for the development of Sino-Nepalese relations, and continuously inject new impetus into the development of China-Nepal relations with the new achievements of the cooperation between the two countries, according to a press note by the IDCPC.

Song Tao also highlighted the concept of Xi Jinping’s socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. In response, Prachanda highly appraised that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, with Xi Jinping as the core, the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics has continuously achieved new developments in the new era, and he is satisfied with the high-level development of friendly relations between Nepal and China. Prachanda said that the Nepal Communist Party is willing to comprehensively strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese Communist Party and promote the accelerated development of Nepal-China relations to a new stage in history.
