Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health has claimed that 34,000 injured have got treatment in different hospitals after the April 25 destructive earthquake.
The Ministry said that 13, 775 injured were treated in different hospitals in the capital city while others were treated in other hospitals.
The Ministry has also distributed Rs 36.3 million for medicines, equipments and disaster control. Of this amount, Rs 22.8 million was provided by the Central Natural Disaster Relief Fund and Rs 13.5 million by the government, RSS reports quoting the Ministry’s spokesman Dr Gunaraj Lohani said.
Meanwhile, the NGO Federation Nepal and the Child Orphanage Federation is to shelter 500 children orphaned by the earthquake in Kathmandu and various other cities of the country.
These organisations have been so far providing protection to over 16,000 helpless children.
